the launch of the world wide web affected all of America. Its reach allowed anyone with a computer to access an unlimited source of information. It promised new businesses the ability to grow at a rate that was never experienced before. The World Wide Web had to have amazing scientist working on it even though Berners-Lee was turned down funding for his idea in 1989, he persevered and was able to change the future of the world. It was a priceless invention that affects everyone and not just America.
Berners-Lee, the creator of the world wide web was inspired by the first direct link across the Atlantic via a direct IP connection from Europe to North America. This allowed him to create the idea of a connected group of computers that could share data instantaneously. In November of 1990 He and his colleague Robert Cailliau began to push for this network of machines. The proposal announced that a read only website would be produced in 3 months and then secondly links that would allow universal editing from other users would be able to be put out in six months.
In January of 1991 the first web browsers outside of the science company (CERN) they were made by switched on. This allowed people with computer access to the first ever web page. Although lost for two decades in 2013 a partner of Berners-Lee showed that he had the last copy of the first web page. This webpage was then put on the internet again for public access. How the first web page hanged the world is incalculable. It allowed many to find how to type in a format that would allow to create pages of information. It also opened up new jobs and careers as the new web allowed people to sell and buy things, but also enabled scientist to post new findings instantly. Coincidentally the first web page was created for the use of physicists sharing data instantly about similar research topics.

At this time in the 90's my father was building his business. The world wide web allowed him to stretch his reach and expand advertisement for his business. This also helped him reach out to more people and richer clients, as having a website at the time enabled you to get many customers that might not have even considered you. It also allowed him to access information from sites and people he might have never talked to before.
